"Convertible top compartment end straps (used on all vehicles) must match seat cover vinyl material, Chatham for 1958, Seville for 1959- 60. The vinyl is sewn (five stitches per inch plus or minus) over a battleship grey Naugastay (vinyl impregnated fabric), with channel- type snaps showing a stainless snap head as opposed to chrome. When the compartment lid is closed, these end straps snap to the top of the door lock pillar at the outer edge of each seat back. Each strap is held to the convertible top compartment cover with two chromed phillips self - tapping oval head counter - sunk screws, each with flat style trim ring. The distinct shape of straps were used for 1958- 60."
