originally from the guy who revived the DeTomaso name (an consequently named this car after one of it's more famous models), and after DeTomaso went under again before being able to produce it they sold the rights for the car over to Qvale. It was actually designed at the same time as the Panoz Esperante, both of which used the Cobra 4.6 motor. After Qvale's disastrous attempt at putting this car out they sold the rights of the car yet again to MG/Rover who used it to underpin the SV which was designed by Peter Stevens, the same man who designed the Makka F1, the Lotus Elan M100, and the redesigned Lotus Esprit. I could go on like this for days so I'll stop here.
