Bevor der Cadillac CTS-V im Herbst in Serie geht, hat der Dampfhammer mit 550 PS und 745 Nm seine Muskeln schon mal auf der Nordschleife gestählt. Mit Erfolg: Cadillac gibt die Rundenzeit mit 7.59,32 Minuten an.

Damit reiht sich der amerikanische Sportwagen, der seine Konkurrenz beispielsweise in einem Mercedes E63 AMG oder einem BMW M5 sieht, noch vor dem Audi R8 ein, der im sport auto-Supertest eine Zeit von 8,04 Minuten ablieferte.
Der BMW M5 wurde im sport auto-Supertest mit 8,13 Minuten gestoppt.

So schlecht sah der im Januar in Detroit gar nicht aus.

Vor allem hat er im Innenraum ein Gestühl, das - im Gegensatz zur Vette - die Bezeichnung Sportsitze auch verdient.

Und wer einen richtigen Exoten fahren will, der ist mit dem Caddy gut bedient, dagegen ist eine C6 die reinste Massenware (fast doppelt so viel Zulassungen in diesem Jahr wie alle Cadillac zusammen).

Das wird halt nur auch wieder ein Wertverlust-Weltmeister.

Ich hoffe nur, dass die ebenfalls im Januar gezeigte Studie eines CTS Coupes auf die Straßen kommt - das war für mich das schönste Auto der Show.

Zumindest gibt es schon Spy Photos von fast ungetarnten Versuchswagen KLICK

Denke die Chancen stehen nicht sclecht für eine Serie!

Sorry, aber ich habe das gelesen und finde es währe eine Alternative zu einem 5er BMW oder E Klasse Mercedes.

Bekanntlich kann man ja nicht mit einer Corvette zu 3. ausfahren.

Übrigens, in Winterthur steht ein Cadillac mit dem 5.7L Corvette Motor mit 404 PS, der hat Neu unter 100000 sFr. gekostet mit allen Extras, jetzt mit ca. 8000 km um 64000 sFr, das ist aber das aktuelle Modell.

Für meine Z06 habe ich auch keine 100000 sFr. inkl. MwSt. bezahlt, mit Navi und met.Lackierung, und die neue Corvette C6 6.2 Competition kostet Netto 74500 sFr. inkl. MwSt.
also habe ich angenommen dass der genannte Preis stimmt. Ob es dann 3-4 Tausender teurer ist, na ja. Ich bleibe beim BMW 320d Alpina aber der Cadillac ist wieder der Beweis, dass die in USA auch bei Limousinen einiges im Köcher haben.

The new issue of Motor Trend arrived in the mail and our eyes were instantly attracted to this story that just went live on motortrend.com. The MT crew has learned that the supercharged V8 slated for use in the next-gen Cadillac CTS-V will be none other than a "detuned" version of the 7.0L LS7 powerplant debuting in the Corvette Blue Devil, or rather, Corvette Z07. The MT editors expect the version used in the CTS-V to produce about 600 horsepower, or around 100 horses short of what the Z07 will produce.

Pick any possible competitor for the next CTS-V and it's obvious that all will come up short to Caddy's new mega muscle sedan. The BMW M3 and Audi RS4 both produce only 420 horsepower, while the horsepower happy AMG team stuffed only 503 in the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG. Even the BMW M5, which is larger than the CTS, will come up short with an upcoming horsepower bump into the low-500 horsepower range. In short, the CTS-V will offer the same amount of horsepower as the 2008 Dodge Viper, which is pure insanity. GM's got stones, folks, and Cadillac is clearly the prime beneficiary of its newfound fortitude.
