I wish they would told me that the boat goes from Boston to Philadelphia and then to Baltimore.....I wonder where else ? Really doesn't matter....sooner or later it will arrive in Bremerhaven....

Hello to All,

I want to thank the many forum members who are helping me with customs. The problem is with the deposit customs wants, to make sure I am not importing my car for sale.

Is there any members on this forum who may know a contact at customs, that could explain my trip, my personal vacation, and that selling my car of 43 years ownership, is the last thing in the world I would do.

PM me if you think you can help me show customs that I am going back home with my car in two months. Maybe some one on this forum works for customs and can help them understand my trip.

Gibt es irgendwelche Mitglieder in diesem Forum, die einen Kontakt beim Zoll wissen, das könnte meiner Reise, erklären kann und dass der Verkauf meines Autos von 43 Jahren Eigentum, ist das Letzte, was in der Welt ich tun würde.

I contact my shipping partner:

You have to declare by german customs temporary permit: Important : You don`t have to leave europe, no eastern countrys (Poland, Russia etc)


The car must go back to the states over Bremerhafen

I send you an E-Mail per PM and you can talk with Mister Geils , Company Intertransport here in Bremen, he can arrange all that stuff and paper work for you

again - your shipping agent needs to do that! HE needs to do the declaration for temporary use in Europe. That is his job!

No forum or personal statement will help you with that.

I understand and thank you....I have sent him additional notices....I should know more in a few days...when he hears back from Customs.....I am not thrilled with the shipper.....but you learn quickly...

I hope all will be well...since I am not trying to sell my car.. the shipping agent has all my information that indicates a return in less then 2 months...
