As for the DVD nav system, it has a GPS antenna and uses this along with vehicle speed input to determine location and movement of the vehicle.
NO, you cannot play MP3 in the system. The other 2 audio systems can play MP3.
DVD is NOT usable for movies, only the DVD disc that is supplied for the navigation system.
GCA or Genuine Corvette Accesories is in process of engineering a 6 disc changer that will plug and play MP3 or regular discs with no problems. It will only have to be mounted into the pocket area on the passenger side.
I do not know the supplier for absolutely sure on the system, but if I remember correctly, Nipon Seiki would be the vendor for the navigation unit.
