Why we (here and in another Am-Car forums in D) are adoring american cars ?
Some here already answerd it - Movies (it´s just another Theme-Park with better weather,
bigger cars, ... :-), I love Rockford ( he had a Vette-Raceteam - http://www.airl88.com ) and the early 70th GM-Designs,
Post War Impressions by GI´s Cars, and so on.

My brain embossing (is this the right term ?) was maid through an oncle of mine who led one
of the biggest GM-Dealerships in D (Dello in Hamburg) in the 70th-80th.
He provided me with brochures and came to Family-Meets with Camaros
and Opel Diplomat (with GM V8) and what ever. That was quiet impressive, because my family
drove just Mercedes at this time
In case they were better for Autobahn-Speed, but quiet boring standing next to another.

How ever, since that times it was more than clear to have a CORVETTE C3 when I grow up.
OK, probably I grew up a little late, but in mind I never lost youth
