I am off to Versailles to play tourist. However here are some pictures from the Island D' Oleron on the west coast of France near La Rochelle. I stayed with Alec and his lovely wife Michele.

I was a bit emotional after Normandy beaches and thought it best to stop driving for the day. Wonderful old city with a rich French history.

Ich war ein bisschen emotional, nachdem Stränden der Normandie und dachte es am besten, aufhören zu fahren für den Tag. Wunderschöne alte Stadt mit einer reichen Französisch Geschichte.

I was guest of honor at a Corvette Club of France Rallye in Brittany last weekend. More than 50 Corvettes and over 100 people enjoyed a wonderful weekend along the Brittany coast. We started in Erguy and visited a few castles and old cities . Cap Frehel light house, Fort la Latte and Dinard et Saint-Malo and the old city of Lanvallay.

I can not promise any further north as I see it is snowing or freezing already,

I am sorry if I miss some of you as this trip has been more then expected in travel and time and stress.

I was fortunate to be invited to spend the weekend by my host Alexander Van De Rostyne in Knokke Heist. It is a resort town on the northern coast of Belgium. The Zoute Rally 2012 was being held there . It is a rally that cost about $4,000 to enter your car. Many cars entered had values over $1,000,000 including many Bugatti's, Bentley's , RR, etc.

I am on the way. I should be in Bielefeld on Wednesday night. I stay with Arno if he will have me.

On Thursday I hit the roadhouse. It should be fun , based on what I am told.
