Hi,
hab gerage im was Interessantes im ZR-1 Net gefunden:
... the mobil 1 filters are capable of filtering 10-15 micron particles and the stock filter 40 microns. The mobil 1 has a better check valve as well. Since their is no metal to metal contact ( hopefully ) this means that any wear occurs from the particles in the oil. 10-15 microns is almost invisible and should provide 2-3 times the life of the motor.
und:
Here is a simple test I performed. I have a clear drain tub for my zr1 oil. When I changed the oil and filter using the stock filter I allowed the oil to set covered for about a week. When I poured the oil from the clear container to dispose of it I noticed a black graphite like settlement in the bottom of the pan ( this is normal ). I then used the mobil 1 filter and mobil 1 oil ( mobil 1 was previously used with stock filter ) ran it the same period of time and repeated the test. Zero settlement this time, the mobil 1 filter had removed the fine black sediment. This was not originally a test, just something I noticed. Try it for yourself.
Viele Grüße
Paul
